More than 600,000 enterprises in Harbin, capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, have been granted a credit QR code, accounting for 59.5 percent of the total market entities in the city and more than any other city in the province.
 
The measure is part of efforts by Harbin to further strengthen the social credit system and encourage market entities to operate with integrity and in accordance with the law.
 
When scanning a company's credit code, the company's basic information, administrative licensing and penalty information, trustworthy incentive information, and voluntary reporting information will be revealed.
 
The credit codes are mainly applied among the city's large-scale commercial and trade enterprises, industrial enterprises, and enterprises involved in catering services, education, transportation, medical services, culture and tourism.
 
In addition to providing credit information for consumers, the credit code will help enterprises enjoy preferential services from Harbin's administrative service centers.
