Northeast China's Heilongjiang province was recently approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education to build a future industry scientific park.
 
The construction of future industry scientific parks is an important way for the country to prepare the layout of future industries.
 
Relying on talent provided by universities, the parks will focus on the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements and the integration of production and education systems.
 
They will also explore the "discipline + industry" model, build future industrial application scenarios, and accelerate the gathering of talent, technology, capital, and data.
 
The newly-approved Heilongjiang park will be jointly built by the Harbin municipal government, Harbin High-tech Zone, Harbin Electronic Corporation and Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT).
 
The industrial park will focus on future industrial technologies related to spacecraft manufacturing and application, aerospace space mechanisms, new aerospace materials and devices, space information processing, advanced aerospace power and equipment, and space life support technology.
 
The park aims to enhance the country's ability in manned spaceflight and deep space exploration, and will be mainly operated by the industrial park affiliated to HIT.
 
The HIT industrial park was approved as a National Technology Business Incubator, National Small and Micro-sized Enterprise Entrepreneurship and Innovation Demonstration Base and National Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Demonstration Base.
 
Over the past three years, it has incubated 255 enterprises, of which 115 are college-graduate start-ups.
