The grooms are all from a unit of the People's Liberation Army in Harbin, and their brides came to Harbin from 14 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, including Beijing, Chongqing, Jiangxi, Shaanxi and Hunan.

After the ceremony, the young couples visited Harbin Ice and Snow World, an 810,000-square-meter amusement park that combines ice, snow, sound and lights.

Since the first ice and snow group wedding ceremony held in 1985, 1,243 couples from all over the world have traveled to marry during the Harbin ice festival, a major annual event for the city.
