The first Russian visa agency window in China's northernmost Heilongjiang province was officially put into use in the Harbin Economic Development Zone on March 14.
 
It was set up by the consulate general of Russia in Shenyang.
 
It aims to provide better, more convenient, more efficient and more transparent visa agency and consulting services for the province's outbound personnel.
   
In the future, Heilongjiang enterprises which have business with Russia, as well as Heilongjiang residents who go to Russia for study, work or travel, can easily obtain visas at the window.
 
Persons heading to Russia can not only go to the window to complete the visa process, but can also apply for visas online.
 
After passing the review, all documents and materials will be mailed to their house, which will especially benefit those not living in Harbin.
