A cooperation and exchange meeting between Macao and Harbin Economic and Technological Development Zone in Harbin, the capital of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province, was held on May 13.
 
The two sides aim to deepen cooperation in such fields as green food, cultural creation, high-tech and biomedicine.
 
Around 70 people from representative enterprises and media outlets joined the meeting.
 
Yu Zhen, director of the management committee of Harbin Economic and Technological Development Zone, said during his speech that as an important part of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Macao is advancing development smoothly.
 
Macao's advantages in industries, markets, capital, and technology are accelerating in a manner that both complements and integrates with the Chinese mainland, and the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation are promising and broad.
 
For many years, the business community in Macao has been an important investment and trade partner of the Harbin zone, and the zone's future development requires further cooperation between the two sides.
 
Guan Hedong, executive deputy team leader of the investment promotion leadership group of the management committee of the Harbin zone, delivered a presentation on the zone's modern industrial system and technological innovation capabilities.
 
He also elaborated on how it is expanding cooperation with foreign enterprises and optimizing its business environment.
