Y12F aircraft, a twin-engine turboprop commuter aircraft developed by AVIC Harbin Aircraft Industry Group, recently obtained the type certificate from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), marking the further expansion of this aircraft in the international market.

This achievement confirms the recognition of the aircraft by foreign authorities, following type certificates granted by the Civil Aviation Administration of China on Dec 10, 2015, and type approval by the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States on Feb 22, 2016.

Completing this type of certification is a successful practice of the China-EU bilateral aviation safety agreement between the Civil Aviation Administration of China and EASA, which holds great significance for the bilateral airworthiness cooperation between China and Europe.

The Y12F aircraft conducted its maiden flight in 2010. It features advantageous payload, range, speed, plateau-adaption, and single-engine performance.

It has a maximum takeoff weight of 8.4 metric tons and can accommodate up to 19 passengers.

The uses of this technology are incredibly diverse, ranging from transporting people and goods to monitoring ocean activity, taking stunning aerial photos, exploring the earth's surface, and even aiding in emergency medical situations. The possibilities are truly endless with this advanced technology.
