The Heilongjiang Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing Integration Development Forum's Ascend AI Innovation Sub-forum was held in Harbin, the capital city of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province, on Aug 15.
 
This forum attracted top scientists, entrepreneurs, and policymakers in the field of AI technology from all over China to discuss the latest research achievements, application prospects, and how to promote the sustainable development of this field.
 
The participating experts reached a consensus that, with the rise and application of large models such as ChatGPT, AI will undoubtedly become a driving force for future economic development.
   
Zhang Xiaoping, Deputy Director of the Harbin development and reform commission, stated at the forum that in recent years Harbin has regarded the development of the AI industry as an important measure to boost digital economic development. Harbin has established a "1+4" development planning system for the digital economy and formulated supportive policies and measures for its development.
 
As a national innovative city, Harbin ranks 56th in the global innovative rankings of AI for 2022-2023, and its innovation vitality is continually growing, making it an optimal location for the development of AI.
