This summer, Harbin, with its unique climatic advantages and continuous innovation in the development of cultural and tourist products, has become one of the most popular tourist cities in the country.
 
According to statistics provided by Harbin Taiping International Airport, during the summer travel season from July 1 to Aug 31, the airport saw 27,800 takeoffs and landings, transporting 4.12 million passengers, marking year-on-year growth of 7.8 percent and 10.9 percent, respectively.
 
The passenger flow at the airport during this period hit a new high compared to 2019.
 
From January to July, Harbin received 57.82 million tourist visits, a year-on-year increase of 83.6 percent. The tourism revenue generated during that same period hit 58.37 billion yuan ($8.33 billion), up 104.6 percent on-year.
