A forum on the female economy took place in Harbin, the capital city of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province, on Sept 25 as part of the 2023 Sun Island Annual Conference for Entrepreneurs.
 
It brought together nearly 150 specialists, scholars, and entrepreneurs from around the nation, focusing on the experience and stories of women in entrepreneurship and innovation, career development, leadership, and sustainable development.
 
At the event, Luan Fang, chairman of Harbin Zhongyanghong Group, and Zhong Zhaomin, chairman of Harbin Churiln Lead Foods Co, shared their entrepreneurial stories, providing guidance and useful references for all women who are nurturing dreams of starting their own businesses.
 
Meanwhile, nine guest speakers focused on emerging and future industries such as the digital economy, bio-economy, ice and snow economy, food industry, and pharmaceutical technology, sharing their experiences and discussing ways of future development.
   
At the same time, a ceremony marking the launch of the Women and Children Industry Alliance was held. Its members include women and children from various industries such as digital technology, bio-technology, modern agriculture, food and pharmaceuticals, social welfare, and health care.
 
The forum aimed at comprehensively empowering the high-quality development of industries catering to women and children in Harbin.
 
After it concluded, HPV vaccinations were provided free of charge for girls aged 9 to 14 years.
