A China-Europe Railway Express loaded with 55 containers carrying 110 units of new energy passenger vehicles departed from Harbin International Container Center Station on Dec 18 and set off for Europe via the Tongjiang Railway Port in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province.
 
Following the opening of the China-Europe Railway Express routes for domestic passenger vehicles and used cars earlier this year, this newly opened route serves as a transportation channel specifically for domestically produced new energy passenger vehicles in Heilongjiang province.
 
Data shows that in the first 11 months of this year, China's automobile production and sales volumes both achieved breakthroughs, with the passenger car market showing a strong recovery trend.
 
In order to stabilize and expand traditional consumption and boost bulk consumption in such areas as new energy vehicles, China Railway Harbin Group Co has expanded its international intermodal services for passenger vehicles and is creating a new express route for automotive logistics.
   
It has also strengthened its cooperation with major automobile manufacturers, supporting the transportation of passenger vehicles and automotive parts in the form of entire train shipments and scheduled freight trains, further increasing the share of passenger vehicle transport.
 
As of this year, China Railway Harbin Group Co has transported over 20,000 units of passenger vehicles, marking a year-on-year growth rate of 44 percent.
 
In collaboration with HAO International Logistics Co and China Railway Container Transport Corporation, China Railway Harbin Group Co has launched a "full-chain, one-stop" service to provide customers with convenient and efficient services throughout the entire process, including vehicle reception and inspection, train booking, export customs clearance, and freight train transportation.
 
Measures such as prioritized loading and expedited customs clearance have been implemented to optimize the transport organization of this freight train route.
