Harbin boasts 4 national industrial heritage sites

As a top-tier domestic culture and tourism city, Harbin is home to numerous historically significant industrial heritage sites as well as four "National Industrial Heritage" enterprises, which are as follows:
 
Harbin Cigarette Factory Site

Founded by the Russian-Polish entrepreneur Old Badua, the Harbin Cigarette Factory, which belongs to the Heilongjiang Tobacco Industry Co, is the oldest extant cigarette industrial enterprise within China's tobacco system and is hailed as the "living fossil" of the Chinese tobacco industry.
 
Northeast Light Alloy Processing Plant

The predecessor of the Northeast Light Alloy Co, the Northeast Light Alloy Processing Plant was established in 1952 as the first aluminum-magnesium processing enterprise in New China.
 
Its old office building, inaugurated on Oct 10, 1954, and completed on June 30 of the following year, served as the company’s "intellectual hub" and "decision-making center".
 
Harbin Electric Machinery Factory

Harbin Electric Machinery Factory is the country's first heavyweight electric motor manufacturing enterprise, acclaimed as the "cradle" of manufacturing power equipment in New China. The inaugural hydroelectric turbine generator and steam turbine generator of New China both originated from this very site.
 
Harbin Boiler Factory

Established in 1954 with assistance from the Soviet Union, the Harbin Boiler Factory became the nation's first modernized base for the research and production of power station boilers, marking the starting point of China's power station boiler development. The factory's first building was completed in 1955 and bore witness to the developmental journey of China's power station boiler industry from inception to excellence.

Novel acceptance letters dazzle future alumni

Some universities have released creative designs for their personalized acceptance letters with unique features like "golden keys".
