Harbin painting exhibition marks 70th anniversary of PRC

A painting exhibition to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding the People’s Republic of China is being held in Harbin, the capital of Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province.

A total of 47 paintings depicting and reflecting historical events by artists from Heilongjiang are on display at the exhibition.

The show is sponsored by the Heilongjiang Culture and Tourism Department, Heilongjiang Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and Heilongjiang Provincial Academy of Painting.

The exhibition started on Aug 13 and will last until Oct 8.

Harbin ramps up childcare services

A new comprehensive service center for childcare in Harbin is expected to be finished by the end of the year.
