My China Story International Short Video Competition kicks off in Harbin

This edition of the competition is organized by the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration and the Information Office of the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Government.
Over 100 participants, including representatives from universities such as Heilongjiang University and Huaqiao University, collaboration platform representatives from Douyin, Kuaishou, Bilibili, Xiaohongshu, and creative teams from units like Harbin Daily, attended the event.
During the opening ceremony, expert judges and creators engaged in a roundtable discussion on how to effectively tell Chinese stories through short videos.
The competition this year features five units: Annual Unit, Main Competition Unit (Media/Professional Unit), Corporate Unit, Self-Media Unit, and University Student Unit.
Additionally, awards for the Best Foreign Language Short Films have been introduced in languages such as English, French, Russian, Spanish, and Arabic this year.
Submissions can now be made through the official competition website and collaboration platforms.
Established in 2018, the My China Story brand has evolved over the past six years into a comprehensive new media event brand, encompassing multilingual short video creation, annual and themed competitions, creative sharing sessions, and thematic screenings.
It has curated a collection of vivid and diverse multilingual short videos, bringing together teams dedicated to exploring the intersection of China and the world through internet-based social communication. The initiative has garnered positive responses both domestically and internationally.
