Ice lanterns: Ice lanterns developed from a traditional folk art. Relying on garden art, ice lanterns express the art of architecture and sculpture. Using the light to illuminate, artists build different sceneries with ice. Since the last half of the 20th century, ice lanterns have developed into a distinctive cultural art combining ice and snow. The annual Ice and Snow Festival and Ice Lantern Exposition have become a platform to display ice art, attracting numerous tourists from home and overseas.
