Track star Liu Bowen races away with silver at top games

Heilongjiang athlete Liu Bowen (L) pulls out all the stops at a men’s 110 meter hurdle competition on Aug 14. Liu raced to silver in the event at the 2nd Youth Games of the People's Republic of China, setting a personal best of 13.47 seconds. The Youth Games of the People's Republic of China were launched in 1988 and are held every four years. Their purpose is to find and cultivate athletes for the Olympics and increase the popularity of sports. This year’s games are being held in northern Shanxi province on Aug 8-18. [Photo/people.cn]

Harbin ramps up childcare services
