Harbin honors rural sites

Xinzhuang village in Wuchang county, Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang province, made the list of the Best Leisure Countryside in China, recently released by the Ministry of Agriculture.
The landscape of the Jinfu paddy field in Wuchang was also listed in the Most Beautiful Pastoral Landscapes in China.
The 2014 China Best Leisure Countryside activity was initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture this March, taking the opportunity to drive local agriculture, increase average income, promote construction of beautiful counties and accelerate the pace of rural-urban integration.
After a series of selections based on recommendations, professional evaluations and online votes, 100 villages were selected into the 2014 China Best Leisure Countryside list, and 140 field landscapes were rated as the Most Beautiful Pastoral Landscapes in China.
