Drilling platform model debuts in Harbin

A recent exhibition designed to popularize the history of national heavy industries opened in Harbin Engineering University, in Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province.
The exhibition was also held to mark the 150th anniversary of Jiangnan Shipyard Co, one of China State Shipbuilding Corp’s affiliated shipyards.

Visitors got an opportunity to learn the development of national heavy industries with a wide collection of old materials, such as archives, pictures and miniatures of offshore engineering equipment like the Haiyangshiyou 981 semi-submersible deepwater rig, the first made-in-China deepwater drilling rig.
