With an investment of 5 billion yuan ($805 million) from Zhejiang Transfer Group, the first intelligent highway port logistics project in Heilongjiang province settled in the capital city of Harbin on Dec 9.
Located in the industrial zone of Daowai district, the project aims to be an e-commerce logistics complex, including a highway port integrated logistics park and an e-commerce industrial park.
Integrating information in transportation, storage, distribution and management service on its network platform, the logistics park will be able to command and dispatch freight vehicles in China.
The e-commerce industrial park will build an e-commerce business building, a venture base for online retailers, a headquarter base for small and medium-sized enterprises and other commercial facilities.
Covering an area of 590,000 square meters, the intelligent logistics project is expected to generate an output value of 3 billion yuan annually, stepping up the development of the local logistics industry.
