Harbin Grand Theater sits inside Harbin Cultural Island in Songbei district. It is currently under construction. It will have one of the top designs and functions nationwide.
The theater will be a landmark with a total area of 79,396 square meters and reaching 56.58 meters in height. It will consist of five parts, a big theater (1,600 seats), small theater (400 seats), ticket lobby, parking lot and square. Local residents will be able to enjoy authentic operas, symphonies and ballets. The project involves an investment of 1.29 billion yuan and is scheduled to be completed by 2014.
