The service is offering by the Harbin branch of China Railway to help Heilongjiang residents who would like to conduct self-driving tour in Hainan island transport their own cars.

The Harbin railway bureau has set up a business acceptance hall in the Harbin International Container Center Station to provide customers with one-stop services such as round-trip business handling, car loading and insurance handling.

The delivery fee for small-size cars is 4,600 yuan ($653.52), while that for middle-size SUV is 4,900 yuan.

The service was initiated in 2015; and the final destination of the freight train extended from Haikou, the capital city of Hainan to its tourist resort Sanya in 2018.

In the past five years, more than 2,700 cars have been transported from Heilongjiang to Hainan via the service, making it the preferred mode of transportation for self-driving groups.
