Harbin Highway Passenger Transportation Station recently launched a bus route to serve passengers traveling between Harbin, capital city of Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province and Jixi, the top “coal city” in Heilongjiang.

The Harbin-Jixi bus route is currently operating a trial service using a seven-seat commercial vehicle –– allowing it to travel on expressways even when there are restrictions on vehicles with more than seven seats.

There are four boarding sites in addition to Harbin Highway Passenger Transportation Station, which are Longta Tower, Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Center, Northeast Agricultural University and Xilong Market.

An online ticket booking service allows passengers to select a departure date, boarding site and seat through the longjiang bashi WeChat platform. A single-journey ticket costs 200 yuan ($31.45).

During the trial period, the service will run seven times a day.
