The 2013 Beidahuang Fruit and Vegetable Picking Festival kicked off at Beidahuang Modern Agricultural Park on August 13.

During the one-month long festival, people can enjoy various activities held at Beidahuang Modern Agricultural Park, Beidahuang Yanjiagang International Hot Spring Resort and the Urban Agricultural Park at Hongqi Farm, including a fruit and vegetable picking activity, a fishing competition, a farmer’s market, a bird feeding activity, a youth fraternity event, a folk culture show, a wedding dress photoshoot, an outward bound activity and a student summer camp.

The festival, jointly held by the government of Xiangfang district and the Harbin farm management bureau, fully utilizes rich tourist resources and the unique culture in Harbin. It will promote the development of tourism of Harbin through the close cooperation between scenic spots and tourist enterprises and the upgrade of high-quality tourism products.
