Power failure halts subway service

Subway service resumed Thursday in provincial capital Harbin after a two-hour suspension caused by a power failure. Subway Line No 1, which opened in September, resumed operation at 12:36 pm, Harbin Metro said in a news release. Thousands of passengers were evacuated for safety considerations.
