Police in Heilongjiang province have confiscated 8.93 kg of tiger bones, 30 bear palms and arrested two suspects, Xinhua News Agency reported on Wednesday.
The report said the police and customs of Suifenhe and Harbin have carried out a joint investigation since February.
They determined that a suspect surnamed Hao purchased a batch of smuggled tiger bones and was looking for buyers.
On March 11, the police captured Hao and another man surnamed Wang, and confiscated the smuggled products.
The investigation showed that in November, Wang bought the smuggled products from a foreign truck driver for 160,000 yuan ($25,800) and sold them to Hao for 220,000 yuan.
Tigers and bears are listed as protected animals in China.
The suspects have been placed under criminal detention.
