Heilongjiang's Industrial and Commercial Bureau, along with its agricultural departments, recently launched a three-month operation, aiming to crack down on counterfeit and outdated green products, as well as other illegal activities.
Consumers can access a food's official information by looking up its access code. If one should encounter illegal activity, such as the selling of fake green foods, he/she should call 12315 to report it.
According to Mr. Xu, the director of the Agricultural Committee's green food office, residents can log in to http://www.ofcc.cn and enter the inquired company's information code, in order to distinguish authentic foods.
Illegal activities include:
• The intentional use of the green food trademark on fake products, packages, and advertisements.
• The continued use of the trademark after its expiration. Expanding the scope of the trademark. The use of similar photos, words, or fonts to deceive consumers.
• The unauthorized use of labels such as “green food”.
• The continuous use of the trademark even after it has been revoked.
