When the city of Harbin, capital of Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province held its 17th Harbin International Motor Show in the bustling International Exhibition Center, on Aug 4, it brought in 400 car companies from around the world with almost a thousand vehicles in 92 brands.
These included Lamborghini, Bugatti Veyron, McLaren, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, Cadillac, Audi and Volvo, which clearly reaffirmed the importance of the Chinese market to global car manufacturers.
There were of course some major stars flown in, such as Aston Martin’s stunning supercar One-77, of which there are lonely 77 built, Ferrari's grand touring coupe, the F12 Berlinetta, and Tesla’s latest e-car Model S.
For anyone interested, the Center’s Stadium will be home to some real eye-catching automotive machinery for a whole week, Aug 4 to 11.
