When the curtain came down on the 32nd China Harbin Summer Music Festival, in the city of Harbin, Heilongjiang province, on Aug 15, music fans had seen more than 2,000 performers from almost two dozen countries and 1500 performances.

Since its opening on Aug 6, the “Merry Songs, Happy Dance of Summer” festival was full of international and Chinese highlights.

On hand to join the thousands of spectators at the closing ceremony were China’s deputy culture minister, Dong Wei, Harbin’s mayor, Song Xibin, and other officials from the Culture Ministry and local government.
