Coffee-makers across Heilongjiang province gathered at Wanda Plaza in the provincial capital of Harbin to compete for the 13th China Barista Championship on Nov 22.
Competitors were required to prepare four espressos, four cappuccinos and four original signature drinks in a 15-minute performance set to music. Their performance will be judged from taste of beverages served, cleanliness, creativity, technical skill and overall presentation.
After two days of competition, two baristas were qualified to represent Harbin to compete in the finals at the 13th China Barista Championship in Shanghai next April.
The World Barista Championship is the preeminent international coffee competition produced annually by World Coffee Events. The competition focuses on promoting excellence in coffee, advancing the barista profession, and engaging a worldwide audience with an annual championship event that serves as the culmination of local and regional events around the globe.
