Harbin, capital city of Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province, advertised its Ice and Snow World on streetcars in Italy’s fashion city of Milan from Sept 18 to Oct 17.
Harbin, heralded as an Ice City for its well-known winter tourism and recreation, opened its Ice and Snow World in 1999. Featuring ice and snow animation, ice acrobatics and a sculpture exhibition, and a perfect fusion of science, art and culture, the Ice and Snow World attracts millions of domestic and foreign tourists every year.
The Harbin Ice and Snow World advertisement attracted many international audiences on streets in Milan as the city embraced the spring/summer 2015 collections for Milan Fashion Week from Sept 17 to 22 and the 10th Asia-Europe Meeting Summit from Nov 16 to 17.
"From Sept 18 to Oct 17, the tourism ads met 4.5 million audiences along six routes of streetcars in the fashion city. The Ice and Snow World of Harbin runs through the streets of Milan on Maxiside streetcars with other tourism ads depicting China’s popular tourist attractions," according to Gao Shan, director of the marketing department of the Heilongjiang Tourism Administration.
