Chinese painting exhibition opens in Harbin

A total of 116 Chinese paintings from famous painters across China were on display at the first Exhibition of Heilongjiang Provincial Chinese Painting Institute in the Harbin Modern Art Gallery on Dec 19. The exhibition will last in Harbin until Dec 29.
Hosted by the Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee Publicity Department, the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Culture, and the Heilongjiang Provincial Federation of Literary and Art, the exhibition features Chinese paintings illustrating tourism landscapes and the cultural riches of Heilongjiang province.
Painters including Lu Yushun, Yu Zhixue, Wu Tuanliang and Ji Lianbin showcased the beauty of harmonious Heilongjiang in Chinese paintings with their unique artistic skills.
A seminar was held after the opening ceremony in Harbin Modern Art Gallery to discuss absorbing regional culture into the creation of Chinese paintings.
