Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province recently released a government work plan on the development of its State-owned forest, which said it will develop China’s largest ski resort Yabuli into an international tourist destination.
It also emphasized that the government should develop forest-related industries, such as tourism, medicine, flower planting and wood processing, which is expected to increase the gross output value in forestry to 400 billion yuan ($639.6 billion) and per capita disposable income of its residents to about 27,600 yuan.

Heilongjiang will develop a group of travel routes from the city of Harbin to other tourist destinations, including China’s “Snow Town” , China's northernmost county Mohe, and Jingpo Lake, according to the report.
There will be an industrial cluster of berry processing and a number of large enterprises that can promote an extension of the industrial chain in cities such as Harbin and Yichun. It will also foster a complete industrial chain for forestry with the help of professional afforestation and marketplaces.
