Harbin Ice and Snow World, a popular winter tourist destination in Northeast China, closed on the evening of March 1 because of the arrival of warmer weather and safety concerns for visitors.
During its 70-day operation, the park received 1.3 million domestic and overseas tourists, achieving a 47 percent increase in the number of visitors compared to last year and reaching a historical high.
Its revenue also reached a high of 320 million yuan ($52 million).
The just-concluded Harbin Ice and Snow World gained a reputation for its amazing landscapes, wonderful performances and service facilities.
The reception hall was expanded to handle more visitors. Free access to Wi-Fi and ginger decoctions were available in the hall. There was also rental service for winter clothing and accessories.
