Museums in the city of Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang province, organized an array of events to promote museum culture, on May 18, the 39th International Museum Day. This year the city focused on sustainable development for society, and its museums gave some life to the antiques in their collection by shedding a new light on them. For example, the Provincial Museum provided some free appraisals of antiques and advice for local people and had several themed exhibits of the province’s relics.
