NE China welcomes luxurious, new Kempinski Hotel

Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group, Kempinski, has a new outlet in the city of Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang province, as of May 28, Modern Evening Times has reported, noting that it is located in the Songbei district and is the first 5-star hotel in the district and the Heilongjiang’s first Kempinski.
The hotel covers a 20,000-square–meter space and has 50,000 sq m in floorage and a total of 350 rooms and suites, none of them less than 36 sq m. It also has the usual restaurants, bars, fitness center, spa and entertainment facilities, and well-equipped meeting halls and is looking to accommodate 100,000 visitors per year.
The hotel is intended to cater to the rapidly growing traveler needs in Harbin, and costs about 1 billion yuan ($161 million). Kempinski is an international brand founded in Berlin, Germany, in 1897, with 76 five-star hotels in 31 countries.
