The 2015 China-Russia Culture Expo will take place in the city of Harbin, Heilongjiang province, at its Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Center, June 11-15, local authorities have reported, on June 4, explaining that it will provide the ideal site for international exchanges and cooperation with Russia’s culture industries, and promote traditional Chinese culture.

There will be five exhibit areas -- Russian culture, cultural activities, traditional Chinese culture, international culture in various categories, and Beidahuang culture -- covering music, paintings, dance, films, tourism, arts and crafts. Beidahuang is a fertile area in China's Northeast, where the black earth provides an abundance of produce.

Visitors will get a look at the charm of traditional Chinese culture with some classical elements, such as the cheongsam (qipao), Jingdezhen porcelain, furniture, and the tea ceremony, or see masterpieces from famous Russian artists making their debut in China. These will be joined by exhibitors from other Asian countries, such as Myanmar, Thailand, South Korea, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, showing their jewelry.

Hosts of the expo are the municipal culture, press and publication bureau, the culture commission of Heilongjiang Provincial General Administration of Land Reclamation, Harbin branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Harbin Economic and Technological Development Zone administration.
