The city of Harbin, Heilongjiang province put on a display of materials concerning the People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, on July 7, at its martyrs memorial to mark the 78th anniversary of the “Marco Polo Bridge Incident” which is considered the beginning of Japan's invasion of China.

The exhibition is a part of the province’s commemorative activities for the 70th anniversary of China's victory in the war. These include publicizing that history with the help of eight teachers and 47 Young Pioneers from the Pingfang district and about a dozen lectures on various campuses, at enterprises, government offices, and in residential areas.
