Model e-commerce enterprises in NE China to get gov’t support

The city of Harbin, Heilongjiang province, recently announced a move to select some companies from the e-commerce sector to act as demonstration sites and to provide preferential policies and special funds for them, local authorities say, noting that they are expected to set an example of innovation in business, cost cutting, and integrating business resources to guide others in the sector.
The city will also set up model industrial bases as well as districts or counties with better e-commerce resources and services, and use the bases to develop more clusters of e-commerce industrial parks, and the districts and counties to make full use of specialized markets and commodities to expand sales of local specialties and develop the local economy.
The city will also review the demonstration candidates regularly on the basis of the proposals they make, and their presentations, and implement management principles to guide their development and, any cross-border e-commerce bases and enterprises will get more government benefits.
