NE China meat exports up a great deal in the first half

The city of Harbin, Heilongjiang province has exported a total meat production of 1,759 tons in the first half of this year, for a year-on-year increase of 101.98 percent, and valued at $5.99-million, up a whopping 200.2 percent, according to the provincial inspection and quarantine bureau.
The meat was exported to many areas at home and abroad, such as Hong Kong, Mongolia, and Russia in 71 lots.
The city has done a lot to increase meat exports, by cooperating more with Russian authorities in developing more export companies, improving quality supervision, and coming up with innovative branding activities.
