The China Harbin International Manufacturing Expo will take place in the city of Harbin, Heilongjiang province, Sept 10-12, with around 500 international standard booths in eight pavilions, the municipal government announced recently.

It covers a 22,000-square-meter area, with 12,000 sq m of that for indoor exhibits and 10,000 for outdoor. The organizers say they are expecting more than 2,000 exhibitors and about 350 enterprises to take part.

They explain that exhibitors from Harbin will receive government subsidies and their booths will be rent-free.

This expo was first held in 2000, as an annual event with local the government sponsorship to promote its manufacturing sector.
