China-Russia Expo set to start next month

This year’s China-Russia Expo in the city of Harbin, Heilongjiang province, scheduled to take place Oct 12 -15, will be extended to a five-day event, running through Oct 12-16, the organizers have announced, explaining that its theme will be new opportunities brought by the Silk Road economic belt.
It will feature the business matchmaking and cooperation for the participants and will have pavilions for Russia, other countries, and for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as for building materials, electromechanical products, green food, the culture industry, and furniture at the Harbin International Exhibition, Convention and Sports Center.
A second venue, in Harbin’s China South City, will bring the total exhibition space to 86,000 square meters.
The Russia Pavilion will be in Hall B, on a 3,000-sq-m space for four major exhibits for large enterprises, key industries, cooperation, science and technology, and finance, with the organizers explaining that most of the exhibitors are leaders in their fields and have cooperation agreements with China, and will have their latest products, technology and equipment on display.
There will be other activities such as negotiations on cooperation in cross-border e-commerce, finance and tourism, small and medium-size enterprise development, and promotion events.
