NE China Cold Zone Expo signs 32 contracts

The Harbin Cold Zone Exposition 2016, in the city of Harbin, Heilongjiang province, Jan 5 - 11, saw 32 contracts signed with investors, the second day, three of them foreign-funded, including a Sino-Japan nursing facility and an organic fluid fertilizer production base with a South Korean company.

The three projects are worth around $550.4 million, while the 29 domestic-funded projects will bring 43.55 billion yuan ($7.09 billion) to Harbin, 10 of them worth more than 2 billion yuan each, for 81.7 percent of the total.

One of the biggest deals, a headquarters for a hotel and home supplies, to be built in four phases in Harbin’s Daowai district, will draw in 8 billion yuan, while another big one, a solar-photovoltaic grid-connected system will be built in Tonghe county at a cost of 2.7 billion yuan.

Other contracts cover traditional sectors, such as modern services, equipment manufacturing, agriculture, chemical engineering, or some emerging industries such as new energy and materials, culture, the media, renewable resources, and biopharmaceuticals.

 

Harbin ramps up childcare services

A new comprehensive service center for childcare in Harbin is expected to be finished by the end of the year.
