The Daoli district of the city of Harbin, Heilongjiang province saw many people packed into a job site looking for new work right after the 7-day Chinese New Year holiday concluded, with some complaining about how hard it was to find a satisfactory position.

At the same time, employers are saying that they’re having no luck finding enough qualified people this year in the service industry, especially in the food and beverage business partly because the migrant workers they often employ haven’t returned after Spring Festival.
