Annual furniture event coming to Harbin

This year’s Harbin International Furniture Fair will take place in the city of Harbin’s International Convention and Exhibition Center, in Heilongjiang province, April 15–17.
Local authorities say that it will bring in exhibitors, entrepreneurs and industrial experts from the furniture business from the cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, the provinces of Jiangxi, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Shandong, Hebei, Sichuan, and Liaoning, the Taiwan region, and countries such as as Germany, South Korea, the US, Russia, and those of Southeast Asia.
The fair will give designers an opportunity to display their latest house decorations, furniture, and visual design and will have contests to pick some of the likely industrial leaders in the sector. Another highlight will be a 177-meter mattress that was manufactured by a local furniture company er as the world’s largest mattress and which is expected to be certified by the Guinness Certification Officer of China at the event.
This is the 13th year of the expo, which is hosted by the city government, its industry and information technology commission, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in Harbin, and the local furniture industry association.
