Harbin ranks high among world’s Top 100 Summer Resort cities

The city of Harbin, Heilongjiang province came in at 19th place on a list of the world’s Top 100 Summer Resort Cities, joining Kunming, in Yunnan, China; Russia’s St Petersburg; Amsterdam, the Netherlands capital; Denmark’s capital, Copenhagen; and Melbourne, Australia.
This year’s List of the Top China and World’s Summer Resort Cities also had Harbin at No.3 on the list of China’s Top 100 Summer Resort Cities, which also had Kunming in 1st and Guiyang in Guizhou province second place.
The entries are selected by the International Cultural Geography Association, China Institute of City Competitiveness, Asia-Pacific Environment Protection Association, and China Public Praise Centre and are judged by eight indices such as cultural and ecological resources, climate during the May – August period, landscape, tourist satisfaction, possible risks, facilities and services.
The Lists include the World's Top 100 Summer Resort Cities, China's Top Summer Resort Cities, China's Top 100 Summer Resort & Leisure Counties, China's Top 100 Summer Mountain Resorts, and China's Top 100 Summer Resort Towns.
Harbin has a combination of history, culture, architecture, art, fashion, ice, snow, ecology and food that are all good for its tourism brand.
