NE China airport ranks high in punctuality

China’s air travel information service, VariFlight, and Civil Aviation Data Analysis have reported that for last month, the city of Harbin’s Taiping International Airport is in second place in its departure punctuality of all the mainland’s airports, with an average on-time rate of 84.94 percent in April, and in 15th place for all of the Asia-Pacific region.
Out of 4,601 flights leaving the airport last month, about 3 percent were more than 120 minutes late and average delays at the airport were about 20 minutes, while Urumqi International Airport, in the Xinjiang region, ranked first, with departure punctuality at 87.2 percent and Xi’an Xianyang International Airport, in Shannxi province at third, with 83.7 percent.
