A robot capable of working on the sea or land or in the air is soon to be born in Harbin Southern robot industrial park. It is the first multifunction robot which can perform transport, rescue, geological exploration and other activities in or on all three elements.

The robot looks like a fixed-wing UAV. Its air cushion and engines are in the bottom and tail. When the robot is used on land, it will be a car with 4 wheels; on water and marsh it will turn into a hovercraft. It can operate suspended at a height of about 100mm  after taking off from a 30m glide along earth or water.

The flying speed of the robot will be up to 100km/h, the height about 400 meters, the speed on land and water up to 80km/h. It will weighs 54kg, which can be reduced to 40kg, and will be able to operate continuously for four hours.
