Harbin was selected to be one of 20 modern logistics pilot cities in China by the National Development and Reform Commission, the only city in Heilongjing province to be chosen.
Harbin will try its best to explore and create a system adopted to the development of modern logistics, understanding their regulations and policies, promoting their development and improving their efficiency. Through that process Harbin will release the vitality of the market and create a good environment for logistics development. At the same time, Harbin will accelerate the international logistic infrastructure of its container center and comprehensive free trade zone, establish a railway and aviation logistics network, promote the development of international logistics into Russia, and attract cross-board trade to build a Russian logistic center locally. Harbin will rely on the cultivation and processing of the green food industrial base in Heilongjiang province to build a logistics base supporting that industry.
