Heilongjiang province will reward leading businesses making special contributions to promoting the industrial development of the province, according to new regulations.

Those businessesmaking the greatest contributions to the province will get 1 million yuan ($150,000) as a reward, and those awarded the prize of “entrepreneurship and innovation”will be given 200,000 yuan.

According to the rules for receiving a reward, those businesses applying for the money have to be registered in the province and to have operated there for more than three years. For businesses in the food, equipment and energy sector, they should have revenues of more than 2 billion yuan, or have paid taxes of more than 100 million yuan. For businesses in energy conservation, environmental protection and tourism, they should have revenues of more than 500 million yuan. A limit of five businesses receiving awards will apply on each occasion.
