Harbin signed agreements with Dalian in the areas of trade, tourism, and staging exhibitions, on Aug 22.

The agreements, signed at the press conference of China (Dalian) International Garment and Textile Fair (CIGF), will create a new pattern for the economic development of Northeast China.

The CIGF will be held at the Dalian World Expo Center from Sept 19 to Sept 21. The CIGF is a platform built by city governments to attract famous brands from both domestic and foreign countries.

Meanwhile, textile and clothing manufacturing enterprises from Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning provinces, will be invited to attend the fair. The exhibition will cover an area of around 50,000 square meters.

More than 1,000 companies will be invited to attend the exhibition. A total of 50,000 people are expected to tour the exhibition, where celebrities from the fashion industry are expected to gather.

Harbin and Dalian have also signed contracts to establish tourism projects to promote the development of the industry.
