A pile of vividly orange carrots propped up neatly against a stack of pink radishes was among the sights displayed by farming cooperatives from Heilongjiang at an agricultural product exhibition in Shanghai on Sept 12.

During the exhibition, 1.68 million yuan-worth of high-end agricultural products from Harbin was sold. The exhibition also connected 17 purchasers with growers, prompting the signing of contracts worth almost 9 million yuan.

The exhibition was held by the Heilongjiang agricultural committee and was attended by enterprises with solid business reputations.

Forty-five famers’ cooperatives, farms and agricultural food processing enterprises took part in the Shanghai exhibition, displaying grains, edible fungi, fruit and vegetables.
